Project Overviewx

The shingles on the roof of the dining hall at Shady Oaks Camp, a camp for children and adults with disabilities, were starting to curl. Ridgeworth Roofing’s Rod Petrick, Marty Headtke and Kevin Coleman from the Chicago Roofers JATC, and Gary Menzel from Roofers Local 11 organized the reroofing project at no cost to Shady Oaks. GAF Roofing Materials donated 2,400 square feet of shingles, Ridgeworth donated 1,200 square feet, and Filotto Construction donated the remainder of the steep-sloped materials. Ridgeworth also donated 1,600 square feet of low-sloped materials, roof equipment, and the crane required to get the materials to the roof. Bone Roofing Supply handled the logistics and delivery of the GAF materials and donated the accessories needed to complete the project. More than 20 Local 11 roofers joined six Ridgeworth employees to complete the entire project in just four hours.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
